The end-of-year exams follow one another in Benin. After the Certificate of Primary Education (CEP) last week, candidates for the examination of the Certificate of Undergraduate Studies (BEPC) have started taking this exam from yesterday Monday for three days throughout the national territory.
According to statistics compiled, 186,399 candidates against 224,995 in 2017 are taking the examination in 265 centers against 294 in 2017. There are 83,930 girls, corresponding 45.03% against 102,469 candidates for boys, representing 54.97%. The variation indicates a decrease of 38,596 candidates, a regression rate of 17.15% compared to 2017. The youngest candidate of the examination of the Certificate of Undergraduate Studies (BEPC 2018) has 11 years old and the oldest, 56 years old. As for the official launch of the exam, it took place at the Lycee Houffon of Abomey (central part of Benin).
