Adequacy training - employment in Morocco : Government plans to improve post-bac orientation

The question of the adequacy between training and employment is one of the priorities of Saaïd Amzazi, Moroccan minister in charge of national education, vocational training.

The Moroccan government, according to the authority, intends to reduce unemployment with the key measures which aimed at improving the orientation of young graduates. Among the ongoing measures that will be implemented next year, it is planned the creation of services dedicated to guidance in each of the twelve academies, the updating of the website of the Department of education and the realization of a guide called « Horizons et carrières» which will highlight the list of all the possibilities open to new graduates. An increase of places is observed at 50%, for this purpose in some Moroccan universities to allow students to be trained to the needs. «Between 20,000 and 30,000 places have been added in the faculties of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, national schools of business and management, national schools of applied sciences, faculties of science and technology, and higher education schools of technology «, he told Jeune Afrique to show the Moroccan government’s desire to improve post-bac orientation.
